Ahmedabad gets ready to welcome China Premiere

Ahmedabad: Chinese premiere Xi Jinping will visit Gujarat on 17th September, before he lands in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present in his hometown Ahmedabad that day - it is Modi's 64th birthday. China and India are expected to discuss a package of investments. China and India are in discussions to modernise the Indian railways. China also plans to invest in industrial parks, locations for which are expected to be announced by Xi. Areas of Ahmedabad has been made neat and clean. Government of Gujarat is spending Rs. 10 Cr to create an impact on China Premiere. All footpaths and roads where China Premiere will pass has been painted. White cutrains has been put to hide Slums in many areas. State Government has put hoardings welcoming Mr. Jingping. The hoardings are having three photos: Jingping, Modi and Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat. The hoarding have welcome word in three languages: English, Gujarati and Chinese. China Premiere will visit Sabarmati Ashram and pay homage to Mahatma Gandhiji. The Ashram premise and nearby area has been decorated to welcome Mr. Jingping. Colourful lighting has been put on Riverfront to give festive look, where dinner diplomacy will be held.  Six pagodas are being raised. Traditional Gujarati furniture as well as Kutchi Toran, Sankheda swing ordered to make Mr. Jingping's visit memorable. Many areas have been turned into high security zones. Riverfront garden has been closed for common man and will be reopened from next Thursday. Mr. Jingping will stay almost five hours in Gujarat before leaving for New Delhi. Many MOUs will be signed in Gujarat during Mr. Jingping's visit.
