Australian Naval Warship arrives in Mumbai

Mumbai: Australian guided missile frigate HMAS New Castle arrived in Mumbai  for a three days visit. Commander of the warship Dominic MacNamara called on State Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan and briefed him about the purpose of the visit. Speaking on the occasion, Consul General of Australia in Mumbai Mark Pierce said the visit by the Naval Warship was an important step towards developing maritime cooperation between India and Australia, as agreed upon by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Austrialian Prime Minister Tony Abbott during their back to back visits to each other’s country. 03
