Kalaam Exhorts Young Buds to Opt for A Career in Science

Mumbai: I wish young buds of today think of opting for a carrier in Science in the coming future with a vision to be innovative in their thought and acting for the eradication of diseases to serve the human being. With theses words of former President and Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalaam the Children Science Congress got inaugurated here in the Mumbai University Complex today. Dr. Kalaam said I see the young fellows in future as new scientists engaged in different disciplines of Science. He also asked the children present there to repeat following lines with him: "I am born with potential, goodness and trust, Ideas in dream, greatness and confidence and wings of vision, therefore ready to fly and take off". Dr. Kalaam reiterated that technology is the backbone of future building. He cited different examples of use of new technologies in medical areana. Referring to the Successful Mrs Mission in the bye gone year the former president also gave a vision for the coming 20-30 years . He said inventions and discoveries have been generated from creative minds with imagination. And all this should be used for ensuring quality life for all citizens across the globe with access to Green fuel, lessened bad effects of climatic changes and enhanced use of solar power on a very large scale. He said children of today will have to play a great role in solving the problems of humanity at large and to generate awareness in this regard events like National Children Science Congress are an apt forum for visualising such dreams to achieve excellence in their actions embedded with clear vision. Dr. Kalaam also felicitated 09 Children from across the country with the INFOSYS awards.for their innovations on this occasion. Earlier Dr. Kalaam also inaugurated an exhibition of the instruments made by children at the MMRDA Sports Complex.
