India International Exchange (INX) inaugurated

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurated India International Exchange by ringing digital bell on digital screen at the smart city – GIFT city of Gandhinagar today. He considered Gandhinagar based GIFT city as the best infrastructural facility equipped smart city of 21st century. Mr. Modi has inaugurated the first ever international Exchange India International Exchange (I.N.X.) which is owned by BSE. On the occasion, Mr. Modi said that India will get unique identity at global level in finance sector through the global centre established here at Gandhinagar.

Mr. Modi said that it was my dream to establish a global financial centre which can compete with best financial centers of the world such as London, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York; and today it has been fulfilled through this international exchange. India will create unique identity in global financial transactions through the International Finance Service Centre of GIFT City. Indian origins bags magnificence in finance sectors across the world, and the GIFT city has been established as an effort to get back this talent in India, he added.

We should establish financial expertise of India by connecting best facility with talent and stability. By referring about the special skills of Indian youth in finance and information technology sectors, Mr. Modi said that this global centre will be proved as milestone for qualitative financial services and quick exchange through India International Exchange. India International Exchange will become global financial center for equity, commodity, currency and derivatives, he added.

Now on the local organizations of India will not dependent on the centers situated in other countries for global business, but will stand on the basis of India International Exchange, he added.

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani said that the activities connected with financial affairs such as commodity, index and stocks, BPO, currency exchange and KPO will be boost through the new dimension of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). With initiation of IIE thousands of youth will get employment opportunities in nearer future and Gujarat will become vibrant in real sense. Now India is going forward towards clear economy, he added.

Mr. Rupani thanked Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi along with BSE, Finance Ministry and SEBI for their cooperation in construction of the new venture and conveyed wishes to IIE for success. BSE Chairman Mr. Sudhakar Rao gave occasional speech and said that with support of Government of Gujarat and with guidelines of the Union Government IIE has been initiated within just two years as a part of Vibrant Gujarat. As many as 20,000 youth will get employment opportunities in finance sector within upcoming five years by initiation of IIE, he added.

On the occasion, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Ministry and Chairman of International Financial Service Center Task Force Mr. Arjunram Meghwal, Chief Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh, SEBI Chairman Mr. U. K. Singh, GIFT City Chairman Mr. Sudhir Mankad along with various industrialists - CEOs of corporate sector in huge number were remained present.
