Modi thinks he is Shahrukh Khan, says Rita Bahuguna

Mumbai: Rita Bahuguna Joshi launches vitriolic attack on Narendra Modi, says things have gone downhill since he became PM. The stage was set for fireworks, and Rita Bahuguna Joshi certainly delivered. Addressing a huge crowd comprising Muslims at Laxmi Nagar, Ward no. 24, Bahuguna launched a direct attack on PM Narendra Modi, calling his entire election campaign in Maharashtra a lie. “He is just going around the world propagating several lies about himself and his policies,” she said. “The promised ‘achche din’ have only brought nightmares to the people. Medicines for cancer that cost Rs 8,000 under the UPA rule are now costing Rs 1,00,000. How can people like you and me afford these medicines? Is he the Prime Minister of the country or only of Gujarat?” She added, “He is going around taking election rallies in Maharashtra in support of his party. Meanwhile, Pakistan is launching attacks on us. Around 60 Indians have already been killed in the last few days, but he is doing nothing about it. China has already made inroads up to 60 km inside Indian soil, but he is doing nothing about it. Her comment that “Modi thinks he is Shahrukh Khan,” drew the most claps from the audience. “He thinks dressing fancily is more important than actually helping people. He is only interested in is creating an image for himself, he is not interested in the country,” she said. Bahuguna had kind words to say for Congress candidate from Magathane, Sachin Sawant. “Not many people know that as a young boy, with a lucrative career in engineering as an option, he chose public service. He could have also worked for some big company and made money, but he didn’t choose that path. He comes from a family that has given 50 years of dedicated service to the Congress party. He is one of the best candidates in the arena at the moment,” she said.
