Ahmedabad: GTU celebrated the National Days of four countries namely Afghanistan, Indonesia, Ukraine and Uruguay as a part of “Global Country Study Report Program” of GTU MBA. Four of the GTU affiliated colleges are conducting the STEEPLE analyses on these countries. The event was organized to mentor the students and faculties for this special program. 170 students including g 12 Afghan Students attended the event. Dr.Akshai Aggarwal, Vice Chancellor of GTU shared some inspirational words saying that good institutes have proved that young MBA’s can do great things. “Young persons from one of these institutes are also paid good rewards. They are young persons like you and they have the intelligence of the kind we have, said he. Dr.Aggarwal inspired students by saying that we only need to work hard, to transform ourselves and to be ready for contributing to business and industries that we join. Editor of www.asiatimes.com.au and Six sigma expert Mr. Sanjay Trivedi and Mr. Suresh Patel also addressed the gathering. On the other hand Mr. K. H Patel , former Indian High Commissioner to Uganda, Ambassador to Rwanda & Burundi and Member BOA GCSR said that GCSR is a very innovative idea as it gives the direction for studying the globalized market. He said that wider vision is required to progress today. Institutes in Delhi offer the courses on international relation. GCSR program is worth offering as such business oriented programs are required in Gujarat and in India. Ms.Bhagyesh Soneji, CMD of Ameda Pharma at National Day Celebration of Afghanistan, Ukraine, Indonesia and Uruguay as a part of GCSR Program of MBA at GTU, said that Ukraine made her a millionaire. "I left Orissa with Rs 20 in my pocket but the most important thing I had was my degree in my briefcase. These are the days when ideas make money. I never studied to become rich and my teachers never talked about money. I have been taught that 'We study to build the nations.' If we will not contribute how our nation will grow?" said Ms.BhagyeshSoneji, CMD of AmedaPharma at the National Day Celebration Event at GTU on 23rd August 2014 Chandkheda Campus. In the second session, the presentation on Afghanistan,Indonesia,Ukraine and Uruguay were made by students of Kalol Institute of management, L. J. Institutes of Management, Sardar Patel College of Administration and Management ( Anand ) and Sayon Institute of Business Management respectively. Dr. S. O Junare, Dean of GTU and Director of SJPIM Gandhinagar also remained present.
