Mumbai: Tele Stars played Celebrity Show Match between “Star Riders XI” and Finalist Shipping Team in the Final Day of the Sailor Today Cricket Cup 2015 Mumbai, in association with Alphard Maritime Group and MSC Crewing Services Pvt. Ltd., at Mumbai. The main objective and aim of this match is to promote and encourage youth to join Merchant Navy and Maritime Sector. We are proud to organize Sailor Today Cricket Cup 2015, 12Th time consecutively said Capt. Sunil Nangia Founder and Chief Editor of Sailor Today. This is continual endeavor by Sailor Today and it is significant activity for our sector to promote Merchant Navy. Further said Capt. Sunil Nangia. Mariners are sporty by nature! Encouraging this very positive element, Sailor Today motivates our seafarers and shore staff to actively participate in this competitive exercise to build a healthy Maritime Fraternity in a fun way! With 24 teams and over 4000 spectators from several top shipping companies and maritime colleges of the globe locking horns, the event is always assured a full house and is cheered by friends, family members, colleagues and officials. Getting phenomenal response through the years, this fun event is not limited to national boundaries! It now hits massive sixes into territories overseas! Many renowned and well-known TV Stars of various serial on various Television Channels and famous film stars participated in the match. Sailor Today Cup 2015  Final Match was played between NORTHERN MARINE VS MAERSK. MAERSK won the Final match by 23 runs. MAERSK won the toss and elected to bat first and they scored 78 runs in stipulated 6 Over Match. Mr. Abhijeet of MAERSK declared Man Of the Match for his 29 runs and 3 wickets , which is all-round performance by him. Sailor Today is an International Shipping magazine published monthly.
