Australia’s Trade & Investment Minister met Maharashtra CM
Mumbai: Australia's Trade and Investment Minister Andrew Robb on Thursday met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Robb and Fadnavis discussed collaboration in infrastructure, financial services, urban development, agribusiness, water management and other areas.
The Minister met key business leaders, including Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries and Natarajan Chandrasekaran, CEO, Tata Consultancy Services. He hosted a Match Australia networking lunch in Mumbai and invited Indian business leaders to participate in the Match Australia International Sports Business Program during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
"Maharashtra is one of the priority Indian states for Australia's engagement. Maharashtra has many attributes that appeal to Australian business. It is India's largest state economy, the country's financial and business capital, and home to some of India's leading educational and research institutions," Australia's High Commissioner to India, Mr Patrick Suckling said.
