Herbal manufacturers of Gujarat to improve Quality of products to match Global standards

GAAMA Executive Committee took decision in an Interactive Meeting at Accuprec Research Labs

Ahmedabad: Ministry of AYUSH has recently changed some regulations for manufacturing of herbal medicines. New rules will be helpful in improving the Quality of herbal products to match Global standards.  Executive committee members of Gujarat Ayurveda Aushadh Manufacturer Association (GAAMA) expressed this opinion at a meeting organised by Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Ltd.

GAAMA executive committee members took keen interest in interaction with Dr. Jaimin Vasa, President of GCCI & BoA member of Accuprec. Dr. Vasa spoke about the benefits provided under various MSME schemes. He also disclosed that due to co-ordination of Ministry of Ayush with MSME department, now Ayurveda manufacturers can avail the benefits like interest subsidy, Research or Innovation Fund, Subsidy schemes by Union or State Government etc. He announced in the meeting that GCCI has started Two Helplines for MSME and Import-Export. Anyone can take guidance of this Helpline. Any person even if he is not a member of GCCI, then also he can take guidance from this Helpline through phone numbers 079-26582301/2/3/4. Shri Padmin Buch is chairman of International Committee of GCCI, who is Chairman of BoA at Accuprec is planning a delegation to South Korea in Coming months. Shri Prabodhbhai Shah, Shri Hardikbhai Ukani, Shri Jamanbhai Malavia and other leading members of GAAMA interacted with Dr. Vasa.

Shri Jamanbhai asked whether any Association can become member of GCCI or not. Dr. Vasa replied that at present 9 Regional Associations are members of GCCI. Shri Hardikbhai Ukani also gave various suggestions. Dr. S.P. Adesara used his experience during FDCA commissioner tenure & gave interesting talk about the regulations. He gave tips to solve various problems. BoA Members of Accuprec - Dr. M.C. Gohel, Shri Rajiv Mehta and Shri Anil Pandey also participated in the interaction. Shri Anil Pandey, Head of IP cell of CII and Dr. Ankit Chaudhari, Principal of Sarasvati institute of pharmaceutical sciences spoke about the strengthening of industry-academia bridge. Shri Pandey said that Niti Ayog may announce the guideline regarding this within few months.

The Interactive Meeting was started with corporate movie on Accuprec Research Labs. In his  welcome address, Shri Mulubhai Kandoriya, Managing Director of Accuprec put emphasis on the need for improve situation on Research front. He said that if you want concrete results, Research must be strengthened. Dr. Manish Rachchh, Director & CEO gave presentation about the infrastructure & facilities available and Services provided by Accuprec. Dr. Rina Gokani, Director & CSO told about the future plan of Accuprec. Shri Padmin Buch, Chairman of BoA of Accuprec provided the detail about upcoming plan of getting USFDA Accreditation and preparations for getting the Accreditation. Shri Mayur Kandoriya spoke about CRO's plan to provide service in international market. He also shared detail of Two National Level and One State Level awards recently achieved for excellence in R &D in herbal sector.
