- Gandhinagar: Under the visionary leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani, the Industries and Mines Department has taken one more step in the direction of overall development of the state. Continuously working during festivals, the department has signed MoU of Rs. 4100 crores with Grasim Industries Ltd who are producers of manmade fiber.
- Under this agreement, the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation will allot land in GIDC of Bharuch district and at Kharach-Kosamba. The company will provide employment directly or indirectly to approximately 1300 people through both units. Grasim Industries Ltd. has mentioned in the agreement about the two units being operational by 2018 and 2020. As a result of these units, there will be enough opportunities to develop other small enterprises and the transport sector.
- With the functioning of these units, the youth of Gujarat will get employment and broad range of experience in skill development. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Manoj Kumar Das and Industries Commissioner Ms. Mamta Verma were present at the MoU signing ceremony held at Chief Minister's residence.
