Gandhinagar: Chief Minister of the state Mr. Vijay Rupani obtained an overall review of the security arrangements and the proceedings of the historic 142nd Rath Yatra through the Command Control Wall of C.M. Dashboard. After performing prayers at the Rath Yatra today morning , the CM reached his residence and obtained real time reports of the route, estimated time of arrival etc through the CM Dashboard.
Insisting on the use of latest technology to ensure safety and security during such religious processions wherein lakhs of devotees throng to obtain a glance of the Lord, the CM said that it is the need of the hour to adopt and ensure safer proceedings in large scale public gatherings. The CM said that the police force is keeping an eagle eye on the 19 km route of the procession. The state government in co-operation with the municipal corporations has installed around 94 high density cameras at 45 places along the route.
In addition to the monitoring at CM residence, the Control and Command room of Municipal Corporations, Annexe at Circuit House and Control Room of government police force has been involved in real time monitoring. Anti-drones, equipped with Israeli technology , have been used to monitor the procession in addition to more than 2500 policemen through the route.
