10 e-courses on Smart Cities Development announced by GTU

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Graduate School of Smart Cities Development (GSSCD) has announced ten smart city certificate E-courses.
The E-courses offered are as listed below:
- Smart Cities Planning and Development (SCPD)
- Project Management in Smart Cities (PMSC)
- Application of Solar Energy for Smart Cities (ASESC)
- Green Buildings in Smart Cities (GBSC)
- Smart Transportation in Smart Cities (STSC)
- Disaster Management in Smart Cities (DMSC)
- Planning and Development of Smart Villages (PDSV)
- Smart E-Governance (SEG)
- Sustainable Water and Sanitation for Smart Cities (SWSSC)
- Sustainable Smart Funding for Smart Cities (SSFSC)
- These e-courses are online distance learning courses. The participants can study being at their choice of place i.e. home, office etc. The participants will need to spare 8-10 hours per week for each e-course. The course duration is 6 Months. Each course consists of 8/9 modules and each module contains lectures in form of PDFs. After Successful completion of E-Course participants will get the e-course certificate from GTU, Prof.(Dr) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU said.
- Eligibility Criteria : Graduation Degree in any Disciplinary with minimum 50%
- Or Diploma in any disciplinary with minimum 50% and 3 years of Exp.
- E-course Fees : Rs. 15,000/- per Course in India
- $ 500/- per Course for Overseas participant
- Registration date Extended : 10th August, 2018

- GTU Graduate School of Smart Cities Development (GSSCD) works on Education in Smart Cities, Research/Consultancy projects in Smart Cities Development, Advisories to governments, Capacity Building of government officials, and all the other aspects of smart cities to act as an effective National Resource Centre for Smart Cities Development, Prof. Rajnikant Patel, Director of GTU Graduate School of Smart Cities Development said.
Main objectives to establish the Graduate School of Smart Cities Development:
- To conduct research and studies on Smart Cities and related areas
- To conduct short certificate courses on related topics and One year Post Graduate Diploma courses on Smart Cities Development
- E-courses on various aspects of organization and life in smart cities
- To organising Seminars workshops /symposium /Conferences on Smart Cities Development in India
- Techno management consultancy in the field of Smart Development
- To carry out capacity building and training for smart cities related development
- Advisory functions to government and industry
