- Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated Cultural Evening and Farm2Fashion Show, depicting a fusion of music and kaleidoscope of Indian costumes and attires, at Sabarmati Riverfront here this evening.
- The fashion parade, organized by Fashion Design Council of India, ranged from khadi to cotton, Banarasi to Kanjivaram fabrics and dresses.
- The cultural function included Gujarat’s Garba and Maniyaro Raas, tune of ‘Vaishnavjan-to…’. Moroccan troupe presented Anasa dance to the tune of Moroccan band, Nasir Megri, Rwanda and South Africa’s Interactive Drum Group. He was accompanied by Ms. Anjaliben Rupani to encourage the artistes’ enthusiasm.
- Others presented on the occasion included Ministers Kaushikbhai Patel, Dilipkumar Thakor, Kunwarjibhai Bavalia, Jaydrathsinh Parmar, Ishwarsinh Patel, Vibhavariben Dave, Chief Secretary J.N. Singh, Principal Secretary Tourism S.J. Haider, Youth Services Secretary V.P. Patel, Collector Vikrant Pandey and Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chairman Jaimin Vasa.
